Introduction to Quests & Progression
The questing and progression in The System feel like turning your real life into a personal RPG that actually matters — no grind for the sake of grinding, just meaningful growth.
You start with a quick baseline quiz that sets your starting stats in the 7 core attributes: Strength, Agility, Vitality, Intellect, Wisdom, Willpower, and Charisma. So right from day one, your character sheet already reflects you — not some generic zero.
Every day you can get a mix of quests:
Dailies — small, repeatable habits (drink water, walk 10k steps, meditate 10 min, no sugar, etc.)
Weeklies — bigger commitments (read 50 pages, cook a healthy meal, call a friend)
Story quests — seasonal or arc-based narratives that tie into real-world moments (gratitude in autumn, hope in winter)
Custom quests — you make your own (and they count just as much)
When you complete a quest, you earn XP that goes straight into the attribute it’s tied to (e.g., a workout quest boosts Strength + a bit of Agility). As you level individual attributes, you unlock little rewards: badges, titles, and more that makes your phone feel like a different world.
The overall progression is cumulative — your total attribute XP across all seven stats determines your global level. It’s slow and satisfying: small daily actions add up over weeks and months into real, permanent milestones (Level 10, Level 20, and someday Level 50) makes it feel like a genuine lifetime achievement by going up in levels.
What makes it different from other habit trackers is the feeling — it’s not a cold checklist. It’s your life framed as an epic journey. Every time you hit a new level, earn a badge, or unlock a shiny name cosmetic, it feels like progress in a game — but the progress is real, in you.
Quest Mechanics
Choose quests from all your skills or from only certain skills, the choices are yours. Here is what you need to know about quests and quest mechanics.
You can have a max of 3 quests per skill active at one time.
The max number of quests you can do in a day (24hrs) is 10 quests per skill.
Story quests can only be done ONCE and will not show again. We will have more story quests being added as we progress with development.
Completed quest give XP to both the skill and attribute listen in the quest, as well as other rewards (coins, titles, and more)
CUSTOM QUESTS: Easy daily quests should take about 20 minutes or less to complete. Medium daily quests will take between 20-60 minutes to complete. Hard daily quests will take between 60 minutes or more. Remember this for when you are thinking about creating custom quests and are not sure which difficulty level you should pick. All custom quests are considered daily quests.
Progression Mechanics
You can keep track of you progression by using the Progress screen. This will show you what XP you have earned and where it all went. Y
